An impromptu stop at the mall called for a not so impromptu stop at H&M. And luckily, their California collection was in stores and I couldn’t help but walk out with some cool pieces that will definitely freshen up my summer wardrobe. Two of their staple pieces are the “Celfie” top (made famous by popular fashion blogger Jules Sariñana of Sincerely Jules) and the pencil skirt with mesh detail. I am totally into the chunky heels and platform style sandals right now so when I came across a pair they had to come home with me. When I was narrowing down my purchases, it occurred to me how all three pieces were a match made in heaven.

For a cool fashionista look this summer, pair your skirts and printed tees with sandals and socks. Yup, you read that right– sandals and socks! This once fashion misstep is now a huge trend in the fashion industry. It’s an easy way to take your look from everyday to street style star. I added a couple of accessories for a more fun in the sun look.

Another way to wear this look is by pairing the pencil skirt with a printed boxy crop top or pair the knit tank with high waisted jeans and a wide-brim hat!

    • Thank you, Tania! I would definitely agree with you. I normally try to avoid graphic tees, but I couldn’t help giving this top a try! I think adding the socks gave it that extra bit of chic!

Leave good vibes and stuff.
